It is no surprise that red lips are fashionable accessories all on their own, transforming a look from casual to glam in an instant. There are subtle keys that come together in pulling off red lips, from the hair to the outfit to the shoes, the shade of red or correctly applying them ( I’ll let you wonder off to the makeup section for that).
Let’s explore black and white colours in the form of stripes and abstract. By their abstract selves or with a dash of colour.
VINTAGE INSPIRED STRIPES
Here we have four different ways to wear stripes while creating a vintage look, from the dress shirt paired with black shorts, to the boxy jumpsuit for the androgynous vibe. Next is the body hugging off the shoulder mini dress worn with a hat for more than a touch of glamour, to the baggy striped top and white harem pants giving a relaxed lounge look. These looks are instantly transformed with a touch of red.
STRIPY TOPS AND BLACK BOTTOMS
Black is always a striking colour by itself or paired with another. Here are looks that are predominantly black, but makes all the difference with a lip of red. We have the madreperola crop top paired with a black jersey skirt for a casual summer look. The vertically stripe Asos shirt paired with black jeans.
BLACK AND WHITE ABSTRACT WITH A DASH OF COLOUR
Combining yellow with black and white isn’t a bad idea. It can be kept simple without any patterns, or taken a step further with stripes and abstract designs. Here we have a vintage top with yellow tribal Ituen Basi pants. Below is a yellow Duro Olowu top and jacket with a black and white skirt
