She reaches souls and touches hearts with her songs about life, love and loss. Every time we hear a new song by her, we are blown away. Why? Because she is Adele, she has one of the most the unique voices in the world. As if that wasn’t enough, she has a big heart and knows what’s important in life. No matter how successful she becomes, Adele knows the importance of family and admits that her son will always come first. Although she’s learned how to balance both her career and role as a mother, she knows when to take a step back from her job to focus on being a mom. Recently in an interview with Vogue magazine she was asked about her plans for the future. She answered, “If I am constantly working, my relationships fail.”


While most celebrities are soaking up the spotlight and seeking out any opportunity to be photographed by the paparazzi, Adele is frightened by fame. She says that her fear came from seeing the downfall of other celebrities who got caught up in it all and lost who they were. She is confident and humble in who she is and doesn’t need the fans or press to make her feel better about herself.


Many celebrities have been caught saying embarrassing things, unkind things or even unnecessary things. Adele takes every opportunity to lift others up with her words, even her “competition” in the music industry. She always has kind things to say about other artists, and even admits how much she looks up to them. Rather than speaking just to be heard, she once said, “When I have nothing to say, I’d rather just not talk.”


After Adele’s first album, 21, became an enormous success, she took some time off to have vocal surgery and be there for her new son. She was in no rush to get her next album out, and took her time writing the songs. In fact, she admits that six months passed between writing the verses and chorus of “Hello”. She would rather take each step in her career in the right timing than rush it just to meet the expectations of others.


Adele was the first in her family to be a singer, and although it was out of the box, she pursued it because it was what she loved. She has been quoted as saying .”My career’s not my life, it’s my hobby.” She does what she loves and does it in her own timing, regardless of the approval of the world.

We can all relate to Adele in some manner. She admits to her imperfections and owns them. She makes no apologies for who she is and does life in her own timing while prioritizing the important things. She says
