Mama said Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you’re gonna get – Forrest Gump’s Mother Life doesn’t have shortcuts. There is always some plan or process that needs to be taken in order for us to achieve anything. In reference to Forrest Gump’s mother, it’s life. When we fall we got to get up. Success can form in different ways. It can be a job, a sport, competition, including more personal roles such as being a friend, parent, family member etc. Life throws a lot of challenges your way and we can succeed.

1. Let’s start by getting the word failure out of your vocabulary.

There’s no such thing as failure. I mean there is, it’s in the dictionary but let’s rip that page out. You can never succeed if you keep it as an option.

2. Set a goal. A REALISTIC goal.

Take it easy on yourself. If you set an easy goal you’re more likely to reach it and can always increase it. You may even change it. Be firm and honest with yourself. Understand what you want to succeed and why.

3. Be confident in yourself.

Things can surely get difficult or you may get nervous, but you never know if your idea is going to work if you don’t try. In order to succeed before getting the support of others you need to trust and believe in yourself.

4. Try and try again.

We don’t always get things the first time around but if we keep trying we can succeed. Don’t over do it! If you start to get frustrated take a second, a minute, a day. Breathe and have a cup of tea then get right back to it. Sometimes things come to us when we’re not even thinking about it.

5. Accept help.

Sure we may think we can do everything! You can’t! You will need something or something to help you get to where you want to go. Surround yourself with people that are positive. Positive minds are always looking for solutions. “Surround yourself only with people who are going to take you higher.” – Oprah

6. Be determined. Show enthusiasm.

If things fall apart and you literally have no desire to continue then it’s probably not the right path for you. When people get down they get up because of help or because even a tiny part of them wants to. If you really don’t and rather huge the ground move on. You haven’t failed you’ve just have a different path for something else to succeed in.

Do what’s best for you! Success is important not just for the big things but the small things too. Take that first step.
