So the nights are sloooooowly getting longer, and the temperature has risen a couple of degrees, but being based in England means I get to talk about the weather daily – and let me tell you – it’s cold, windy, rainy, frosty and mostly foggy. I miss dining al-fresco with friends, being able to go running in the evening and not need a headlamp, and most of all, I miss wearing sandals all day!

I’ve written this blog, not just for you, but for me too, to remind myself that spring is almost here and that I’ll be complaining about being too hot in no time at all.

Here’s a list of ways on how to enjoy the last bit of winter:

Traditional Pub

There is nothing better than drinking wine with friends in front of a roaring fire, you can’t do this in summer otherwise you’d boil but make the most of it until the end of winter.

Plant Daffodils

Daffodils are almost out, I love those happy, yellow flowers! By planting your own you will see day by day as we move closer to spring – the day you wake up and they are blooming will be a happy one.

Nude Nail Colours

At this time of year you can rock all of the neutral and nude tones for your nails. I know you can have them at any time of year but in summer I always want bright colours, whereas I can rock a subtle tan at the moment.

New Wardrobe

All of the shops are bringing in their spring/summer collections which means SHOPPING! I love buying a few key signature pieces for the seasons ahead and just having some retail therapy cheers me up.

Crisp Walks

When you do get a crisp, dry day, make sure you grab your family and head out for a nice walk in the countryside. Everyone’s all wrapped up warm and the dogs playing make for happy memories.

We have six days left until the official first day of spring – who’s counting down the days? I know I am!
