Many people have part-time jobs in addition to their full-time jobs. In some cases, it may be for extra income, but it many cases it is a dream job that can’t quite pay the bills. Is your part-time job starting to become more than part-time? Is it getting in the way of your full-time job? If so, it may be a good sign that your side hustle is ready to be promoted to your main hustle! Having the time to fully commit to your side job may take it to a level of success that you didn’t know existed!

Transitioning from two jobs to one can cause financial stress. It may take a few months to get on your feet and have your side job become established. Having a savings account with enough money to cover several months expenses is not only wise, but highly recommended. If you have saved up enough money to have a safety net, then you have a great start!

It’s important to know that your side hustle will be able to pay the bills, and cover all other necessary things. Take a month and attempt to pay all your bills with your side job. Is it doable?

If your clients keep asking for more, or you find yourself with more work than you can handle, you are in demand! This is great because it means that you are good at what you do, and that you won’t have trouble finding work. Also, the more satisfied clients you have, the more referrals will be coming your way, so be prepared to be busy!
5. IT’S YOUR IDEA OF A DREAM JOB
Before you decide to leave your main job for your side job, ask yourself, “Is this my dream job?”. Do you love what you do, and often wish that you could do more of it? If so, then you owe it to yourself to pursue it!
Leaving your safety net and pursuing the job of your dreams can be intimidating, but if you know in your heart that you are ready, then it’s time to make your side hustle your main hustle! You will probably make some mistakes along the way, but choose to learn from those mistakes and better your career. Most importantly, set goals, commit fully, and don’t ever look back!
