If you have anxiety you will know what I’m talking about! Talking yourself through tricky situations is a method that works for many people. If your boss is frustrating you or you feel the demands of your job overwhelming, slow down and think. Have a conversation with yourself! It might sound a little silly, but it works. Identify why you are feeling this way and combat the stress with self-reassurance. Sometimes it’s okay to be your own best friend!
Your Not Alone
Look outside your office, everyone is hustling! I bet if you ask your colleagues how they deal with work-related stress, they will have an answer for you! If not, you can find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. Don’t feel bad asking for help and reaching out. Everyone has been there and felt what your feeling. The discomfort you are experiencing is temporary!
Take a Minute!
Take a minute, an hour or maybe even a day! Give your mind a break and escape the office for a bit. Sometime’s a change of scenery can do wonders for your mindset. Rest and recharge with a delicious latte or some retail therapy. Walk through the park or buy a day planner! Escape the anxious feelings in your workplace long enough to feel re-energized.
Mindfulness is one of the best practices to focus on! Whether you suffer from the effects of anxiety or you simply want to live a more grounded life. Taking time out of your day to hone in on what you are grateful for and how you feel is an amazing practice! There are so many great resources for Mindfulness online! Do some homework and find a method that works best for you!
